Two decades spent on one thing

Shailendra Ji has spent almost two decades teaching one thing: yoga for women whose hormones are not behaving. PCOS, thyroid conditions, fibroids, endometriosis, irregular periods, fertility, pregnancy. Not general fitness that happens to include women — this, specifically.

Why women’s hormonal health

A student he had taught for two years told him she had been trying to conceive for six, and that no one had ever asked her about her cycle before prescribing her a workout. That question changed what he taught, and he has taught almost nothing else since.

Today that means live batches for PCOS, thyroid conditions, fertility and pregnancy, a team of teachers trained in the same specialisation, and dieticians who build plans around food students already cook.

The method

Four things that make it different

01

Start with the cycle, not the pose

Every assessment begins with your cycle, your reports and your day. The sequence is built backwards from that, which is why two students in the same batch are rarely doing the identical thing.

02

Small enough to be noticed

Batches are capped so that an absence is visible. Motivation is the most-cited reason women stop practising, so the format is built around it rather than around scale.

03

Yoga and diet together

Qualified dieticians work alongside the practice, building plans around food you already cook. For hormonal health neither piece works well alone.

04

Say what it cannot do

This practice supports medical care. It does not replace it, and no one here will ever advise stopping a prescribed medicine. Students are told what to expect and roughly when.

The path

How it grew

  1. 2006

    Began teaching

A student he had taught for two years mentioned she had been trying to conceive for six — what turned a general practice towards women's hormonal health.

  2. 2013

    Teacher training begins

Training other teachers in the same specialisation.

  3. 2020

    The channel

Long-form teaching on YouTube through the COVID period built an audience that still watches 6–8 minutes at a time.

  4. Today

    Live batches worldwide

Online live classes, in-house dieticians and a teacher training programme.
